are physically disabled with multiple handicap. These children are highly dependent and need round the clock care and supervision.
There are 35 such children in this unit who are under treatment, care and rehabilitation programmes. The following services are being provided for their growth and development:
- Physiotherapy and exercise
- Speech therapy
- Toilet training
- Custodial care facilities
Vivek: Was picked up as an abandoned child from a railway station. He was in a dying condition when brought to our home about four years back. Since then he is under our care and shows a lot of improvement.
Rosy: was handed over to our center by an adoption center. As there were not takers for this multiple handicapped child, the agency did not want to keep her and handed over to us.
